Rick Haas believed in fraternity so much he became pseudo Sammy Switzer. Haas had crafted a name for himself throwing Dirt Late Models around Race Tracks before becoming a folk tale in Fred Garber's Sprint Car. Stories over the years gathered about the reason Rick ducked his name in 1983, but the truth was his desire not to take center stage.

More on Rick Haas coming soon!
