J.J. Riggins naturally had to get into the act when Midwest Speedway began featuring Sprint Cars weekly. Riggins left his Lincoln doorstep to compete at Race Tracks all along the mid states in four decades. The closest was Midwest, where J.J. became an icon. Early in his third decade of racing he formed a dominant partnership with John Tucker. He put his own number fourteen on the car, inspired from his hero Bill Vukovich, and John added the 'J' to the partnership that ate up the competition for three years.
